Grand Theft Auto is the game that put Rockstar on the map, spawned several sequels, and sparked a lot of controversy. You are a gangster who steals cars and kills people for points. As you can tell, not much has changed from the newer games (which is a good thing). The game is played from a top-down perspective while you run through Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas (sound familiar?) causing mayham and destruction for points.
